Kathleen Corte has always loved stories.
She wrote her first novel (40 pages long!) in seventh grade and went on to study English at the University of Notre Dame. After a brief stint as a magazine copy editor, Kathleen followed her love of reading and writing to the middle-school classroom, where she taught English for several years. Today she is a Certified Academic Language Practitioner who teaches middle schoolers with dyslexia. A native Texan, she lives in Houston.
